Bringing Smiles to Orphans at Ada Nur

Today, we sent something small but deeply meaningful to orphaned children in Uganda: lollies. For many of these children, daily life is shaped by loss, uncertainty, and limited access to even the most basic comforts. Childhood, which should be filled with play, laughter, and care, is often replaced by responsibility and survival far too early. Moments of joy can be rare.

That is why something as simple as a lolly matters. When the lollies arrived, they brought more than sweetness. They brought smiles. They brought excitement. They brought a brief but powerful reminder of what it feels like to be a child to laugh freely, to feel seen, and to experience happiness without worry.

For children who have lost so much, these small gestures carry enormous emotional weight. A lolly becomes a moment of normalcy. A moment of celebration. A moment where a child feels remembered and loved.
